Here is our love story from my perspective!

I met Luke in Campus Ministry on Eric and Denise Van Meter’s couch during a meeting. At the time, I was not looking for a relationship, and I definitely didn't feel ready for one.

Luke and I started talking about courses that we were taking together. We both were elementary education majors, so our conversations quickly bloomed. I gave him some information about a classroom project we were working on. After the conversation, I thought nothing of it.

Later that night, Luke added me on Snapchat and asked me the same question ABOUT THE SAME ASSIGNMENT. My first thought was “Boy, this man can’t listen. I just told him 30 minutes ago!” Little did I know, he had other plans.

We continued talking and Luke asked me out for ice cream. I was excited to hang out with a new “friend.” We stayed for a long time at Zesto’s visiting and laughing.

For the next few months, we talked, laughed, and made so many memories. One memory even resulted in our wedding dance song “Are You Going to Kiss Me or Not?“

I started developing feelings for him and I finally asked him what we are. The rest is history!

Luke is one of the kindest, most generous, and most loving people I have ever met. He challenges each and every day to keep growing in faith and love. Luke has made me a better person and I am so grateful to be spending the rest of my life with him. This a just the beginning of our love story and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
