Josh & Emily's first date was at White Rock Lake in Dallas on April 16, 2023. They talked about their families, hobbies, and the time Josh had a pet hamster named Jacquizz (RIP).

They sat on the same picnic blanket while talking for nearly six hours. With no bathroom breaks or anything!

Josh never called her back.

Just kidding! In fact, they saw each other at a baseball game later that week, went out for ice cream a few days after that, and never stopped hanging out.

Josh proposed on March 30, 2024, and less than six months after that, they'll be married!

In the meantime, they are starting a small group at their church, participating in a premarital counseling class, and learning what it takes to plan a wedding (turns out, a lot!).
