Jeff’s and Emily’s story truly is a living testament to their favorite verse that they’ve chosen as the theme verse of their love story, Ecclesiastes 3:11… He makes everything beautiful in its time!
The Lord quite literally brought them together from two separate ends of the United States, and is the God of the impossible.
Emily grew up in Northern California for the first twenty three years of her life. She enjoyed musical theatre, worship, and riding horses with her mother, Lisa, all the while the Lord had brought them through many ups and downs in life. In March of 2023, the Lord uprooted Emily and her family and moved them all the way to Titusville, Florida, in search of job opportunities and somewhere to settle in. When it came time to move, Emily and her mom had to find a way to move their horse, Zelda, all the way to Florida, and to find a stable to board her at. After many attempts to find a stable to keep her at, with little luck at most places, they finally found Swan Lake Stables, in Titusville. Soon, they became friends with the owner of Swan Lake Stables and with many others at the barn. This led to them being asked to volunteer and volunteering at a Christian music festival at the barn called Daisy Fest. Hold that thought.
Meanwhile…
Jeff grew up in Mims, FL, and has remained rooted there for 30 years and has always had a love for music. After the passing of his sister, Morgan, Jeff found music to be his outlet and a safe place. He learned guitar and how to sing.
Jeff ended up going to a service at First Baptist Church of Aurantia when his grandma invited him. He fell in love with the people, the music, and rediscovered his love for the Lord. After six years of sitting in a pew, Jeff finally answered the Lord’s calling and joined the worship team, not knowing the blessings it would bring.
Now back to the Daisy Fest…
Jeff’s worship team at Aurantia was the last band to play the Daisy Fest at the end of the day.
Emily and her family had been searching for the right church family and home these past two years of living in Florida, so long story short, after hearing the worship band from Aurantia, Emily and her family ended up calling First Baptist Church of Aurantia home!
During this time Emily was working a job at a local coffee shop, and one day, Jeff came into that coffee shop and they recognized each other from church. They talked a little bit and found out that day that both of them were going to be volunteering at Aurantia’s VBS.
Once they got to VBS week, they discovered that the Lord had placed them right beside each other when their assigned age groups of children they would be leading were right by each other’s. They got to talking that whole week and hit it off and well, the rest is history…
Now Jeff and Emily are entering the marriage they have both prayed for since they were little and The Lord has given them so much more than they could ask for. He really does make everything beautiful in its time!
