In the wild, costume-clad chaos of a 2018 Halloween party… Meet Emily, a bold, brilliant soul dressed as the iconic Selena Quintanilla, complete with rhinestones, red lips, and all the Tejana queen energy. Enter Marcos, equal parts charming and chaotic in his Morty costume from Rick and Morty, nervously clutching a Solo cup and overthinking his “Wubba lubba dub dub!” They locked eyes across the room, two costumes, one connection. It was magic.…Kind of. But like every good 2010s rom-com, timing wasn’t quite on their side.So they drifted…Life moved…But God? Oh, He had other plans. [Cut to: golden autumn leaves, a cozy West Texas evening in 2019…] Cue the scene at BarPM, just across from Memorial Circle on Texas Tech’s campus.The drinks? Cheap. The vibes? Electric. The kiss? Finally. Narrator voice: That night, with one kiss, everything changed. Suddenly, what started as a Halloween hello turned into late-night talks, inside jokes, road trips, playlists, dog cuddles, and a love that grew deeper with each day.
