Jacob and Emily met via mutual friends in May of 2022 at Hoppin'. The two hit it off and planned to meet up again the following week at a Greenville Drive baseball game. The sparks continued to fly and the couple went on their first date shortly after. Many dates later, Jacob asked Emily to marry him in March of 2025.

Much of their quality time is spent playing games, doing puzzles, cooking, gardening, crafting, golfing, and walking their dog Norman.
