It all started in the hallways of Green Hill High School. Emily first noticed Stephen and immediately thought he was cute, funny, and (let’s be honest) probably trouble—in the best way. She’s always loved a man who could make her laugh, and for her, it felt like love at first sight.

Stephen’s first impression of Emily was a little different. He thought she was quiet, shy, and mostly kept to herself… until he finally got her to laugh. That’s when he knew there was more to her than met the eye—and of course, he couldn’t resist making fun of her laugh from that day forward.

Most of their relationship has been long-distance, with lots of FaceTime calls and countdowns until the next visit. Some of their favorite memories are when Stephen comes home for the holidays—those moments became the heart of their relationship. As many of you know, Stephen is active-duty Army, which means he’s often away, but it also means every moment together is extra special.

And then came the proposal. Stephen teamed up with some of their closest friends and family to plan the surprise of a lifetime. During Emily’s graduation party, he somehow convinced her to leave halfway through (not suspicious at all, right?). While she was gone, their friends and family helped him decorate and set everything up. When Emily returned, Stephen was waiting—nervous, excited, and ready with the big question. She said “yes!” (through happy tears, of course), and the rest is history.

Now, they can’t wait to start the next chapter of their story—this time, together forever.
