In 2016, Emily moved from her home town of Severna Park, MD to Dallas, TX. Not knowing a soul, Emily easily made friends at her West Village apartment. She met Jess Herman at a charity Gala and they became good friends. One day, Jess and Emily went to a Thomas Rhett concert, where Jess introduced Emily to her other friends, one of whom was Emily Feneck. (There is always another Emily)! This story can also sound very confusing with the Emily's... Feneck and Emily soon became best friends, and Feneck eventually moved in with Emily and her brother, Jack. It was like Three's Company, but with two Emily's and one Jack!

Feneck always insisted that Emily should meet her best friend from college, Mike Donnelly. She thought they would be the perfect match!

Yes, I forgot to mention one important detail. Emily Feneck went to The University of Alabama for four years and became best friends with Mike over that time. ROLL TIDE! The three of them went to Bama at the exact same time, although never crossing paths. This common interest became the foundation of their friendship in Dallas. Right out of the gate, Mike got bonus points for being a Crimson Tide fan! Emily and Mike both love their football! It just makes Saturdays a lot more enjoyable!

Mike was born in Dallas, but grew up in Cape Vincent, NY, in the heart of the Thousand Islands. He moved to Dallas in 2018 to work in Real Estate Development.

Emily and Mike became friends through Feneck, and enjoyed getting to know each other. They had great conversations, shared the same morals and values, and all around they both just knew they were meant to be together!

One day, Mike asked Emily out to dinner at Hudson House on Lovers Lane, (Perhaps a little divine intervention?) and she said yes. The next date was a drive in movie; It's a Wonderful Life. (Ain't that the truth?)

Since then, memories have been made; traveling to Mexico, skiing in Colorado, long walks with their dog Cam and enjoying the Texas sunsets on the lake at the end of the day.

Mike proposed to Emily on September 1st, 2023, on a sunset cruise on Lake Ray Hubbard surrounded by loving friends and family.

Lovers Lane truly was the right road to take and on that road, began a beautiful Love Story.
