Our Wedding

Even though they lived just half a mile apart and were in the same medical school class, Seth and Emily didn’t officially meet until the summer after their first year. On a hot summer day, Emily and her friend, Melani, went to the pool at the apartment complex where Seth happened to live. They recognized each other from school but had never formally met until that day. At first, Emily was hesitant to say anything to Seth because, well… she thought he was a little annoying. But with a gentle nudge from Melani, she finally went over to talk to him.&nbsp;Seth was shocked because he always thought Emily was not the biggest fan of his since he's loud and would bother her during anatomy lab. That same day, they all hung out at Melani's house, and after that, Seth and Emily basically spent every day together. Although they can't remember exactly what their first date was, Seth was persistently asking Emily to do things over that summer. Whether it was to play pickleball or go try a new restaurant, Seth was always trying to spend time with Emily. What started as Seth’s persistence quickly became mutual, as Emily looked forward to each new excuse to spend time together. Fast forward a year and a half: Seth set up the perfect proposal on Mud Island in Memphis (with a little help from Melani, of course), and Emily said yes! Now, as they wrap up their final year of medical school and get ready to start residency, Seth and Emily can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with all of their family and friends.
