Sam and Emily originally met in June 2021 when he started working at the same company. They were in different divisions, so besides an occasional hi in the break room or Sam asking Emily for help unlocking his computer, they never talked.

Emily left for a new job in October 2021, so a coworker asked her about getting together a small group to do trivia at The Hall on Thursdays to keep in touch. Both Emily and Sam were a part of this group and got to know each other more and more as this group continued to hangout.

After a few months of hanging out, Emily woke up to a text from Sam asking to go out for coffee. They went to Smokey Row one Sunday morning and began to learn their similar loves for working out, coffee, finances, Iowa football, traveling, dogs, and the list could truly go on forever.

Another few months of growing their friendship and learning more about each other passed. Their friendship grew into feelings, and the rest is history!
