Our Wedding

Here it is! Let’s start by saying we were both single when this took place! I and Zach had no contact whatsoever didn’t even know who this boy was… I had this boy randomly message me on Facebook. I went to the bedroom and asked mom and dad if they knew any Patrick’s. Dad said, “yeah I know Joey and Amanda Patrick”. Dad said, “I go rabbit hunting with Joey and his boy Zach”. I said that makes sense Zach messaged me on Facebook told me I was very pretty and asked me if I was happy jacks daughter? I then asked dad if he was a good boy “ silence” I asked again and he said yeah… I messaged him back and told him thanks and he was quite good-looking himself. He messaged me and asked how many rabbits, dogs, and Etc I had. I guess he was trying to make small talk so I went along with it, and told him about Dad's ole hunting dog mac. ( looks like he was sorta into this stuff so I just went along with it). Me and him talked that whole night till the next morning, and he asked if he could take me on a date? ( I didn’t write back for an hour or to) I had to think.. Do I want to stay single? I forgot to ask is he single? He’s from a different school this won’t work? I had to do some digging around to find some information out. He was thank the lord! I sent a message back and said sure where we going, he said we can go wherever I can drive. I went to talk to mom and dad and they wouldn’t let me car date at the time. Mom and dad wanted me to ask him if it was okay for them to take us. I messaged Zach back and asked he said I’ll respect their wishes( me I like this boy already). I go pick out something to wear. He seems like he likes cowgirls I’ll get my boots, jeans, and a nice blouse out. We go pick him up they asked us where we wanted to go but, no one said anything so we go to Peking’s. I didn’t talk the whole way to Prestonsburg ( crazy right I always talk), we went into Peking we got at our table he tries to make conversation again, I talked but, was still very shy ( me shy). I went up got some steak and rice just a spoon full not enough for a rat to eat, I didn’t want him to think I was a pig on the first date, of course, I didn’t get full ( FYI when I got home I put them little Debbie’s away). After we had dinner we went to Walmart it’s a family thing. Dinner then Walmart. We go to Walmart with mom and dad. We sorta split off I was starting to warm up some, got to know some of our favorite things, etc. We walked around Walmart literally for 2 hours mom and dad didn’t rush us. Zach grabbed my hand and I just looked and him, I held it while we finished talking. Then we go to the car told mom and dad we were ready. On the way home he grabbed my hand again I held it till we got back to his truck. We were both out and he hugged me and said I wanna kiss you but, I don’t wanna move too fast. I 100% agreed with him, me either and I saw where he was coming from. Mind you this boy shows respect, works, and has opened the door for me each time I have got out. (Thinking in the back of my head that boy has watched a hallmark movie before he’s come on a date with me) Fast forward the next day. I asked if I could invite him up. He came that evening after he did his chores he come with two of my favorite things Reesie pieces and lemonade. On the other hand, he has a un bloomed flower on the other hand I didn’t ask questions. Until he set down, and I asked him if he needed some water for that un bloomed flower he was carrying. He responded and said it’s for you, I said let me get some water for it, he said not yet I need to ask you something? Exact words after 7 years I remember to the day “As this flower blooms our relationship will bloom with it? Will you be my girlfriend? Of course, my answer was a big ole Yes! He has made my day. We watched and ate popcorn until it was time for him to be home at his curfew. That following day he told me it was his birthday and he asked me if I thought my mom and dad would bring me to Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner. I asked and they allowed for him to come to get me. So he picked me up, took some pictures to document it, and we headed to Pikeville. The gentleman opens the door again. I just couldn’t get over it and thought it was too good to be true. From that day in we have been together ever since. Some people thought we wouldn’t last. I know how corny all this is but it’s the absolute truth every word. Never settle for someone that isn’t what you see a future with. Make sure he’s your person! Zach is mine! We are so excited for the big day We hope you enjoy our story♥️

Meet Hailey my maid of honor!AKA haybug! A little about Hailey, me and Hailey have been best friends since grade school, after years have come and gone she became my Main girl from middle school, high school, and now college. Hailey isn't just my best friend but more like a sister. Like all my girls.. You have that one person in your life where you feel comfortable just picking up the phone and say " Waya doing, wanna get into something? Shopping, nail dates, hibachi most of the time ... I've had many questions about how did you choose your maid of honor. I didn't choose Hailey because she was my best friend, I chose Hailey because she was that one girl that doesn't care to speak her mind (she is like me ). When I had the most doubtful days I could pick the phone up without hesitating and she would be here within seconds.  We are sisters that I never had. This is Why Hailey is so special. I can't wait to have you by my side on my big day.

Meet Elizabeth, my bridesmaid! AKA Liz or punkin.Where do I start? Liz and I go way back. From growing up together fighting like sisters, and all the extras like concerts, cheer, dance, vacation, Birthdays, all holidays and etc. We have spent nearly every holiday together most of our life. Our Dad is two peas in a pod, actually, known as my second parents Darren and Annie.  How ironic is it my mom and Annie were pregnant with us at the same time 6 months apart? Liz is also a sister I never had. Even though she did weird stuff when we were younger. Who doesn't drink pop with ice? Liz does!  Who has an obsession with sponge bob and scobby doo? Liz does. I still remember that scooby doo bowling ball we rolled all over the house. I always thought she was one of a kind. This is what makes our friendship so special. I guess she turned out okay"LOL". I guess I saw myself as her big sister, putting some of her old boyfriends in line. I still to this day find myself wanting to protect her but, jake and a couple more have taken my place. I'll always be your sister behind you every step of the way.

Meet Shawna, my bridesmaid! AKA puss doesn't kill me for this. As childhood friends, that's all we called you. Shawna is also a sister I never had but, aka cousin. Lord some of the wild stories we have had. Shawna, Liz and I, were known as the 3 amigos, if you saw one you have seen the other I bet ya. Including our mommas! Like I Posted on Liz we have spent most of our childhood life doing things together. I always thought I was the loud one, but I think we have a race. Our sisterly and family bond make hers special and one of a kind. Let's not forget she never got out much but now the party animal of us 3. I cant wait to have you by my side with a Twisted Tea.

Meet Kaytlyn, my bridesmaid! AKA my future sister-in-law. The first little long blonde hair girl that stole my heart other than her brother. I became her big sis as soon as I walked through the door with open arms. I've watched this young girl, grow into a teenager, and now an adult getting ready to go to college. Crazy how time flies right? I am so glad to be a part of your special days including archery meet, proms, and family gatherings. You make us so proud of you every day we love you bunches.

Meet Chloe, my bridesmaid. Chloe is my baby cousin, like my own.  Just not so baby anymore she is about to outgrow me. Turns out I thought I was gonna be the only girl grandchild turns our we had another little girl to fill the position I was so very thankful for that. We are two for two counting the boys. Let's not forget the entrance she made has a hell-raising baby.  COLIC AND SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER all the time. Now she is so shy and quiet you never know she is around. My Love for her is so big.  When Chloe first met Zach she was attached to the hip like glue, now not so much. She was Zach's girl for the longest time.  We are so glad to have her be with us on our special day.

Meet Kailey, my bridesmaid! Kailey and I go way back, we were connected at school volleyball games. But, as years come and go that did not stop us from re-connecting where we left off. Funny story Nick her husband and I were best friends in middle school. Kailey is one of a kind! We consider ourselves as a camping crew, we camp they camp most of the time along with some of our other friends. We are also happy to have a new little one join the wedding crew. They are expecting and we are absolutely over the moon for them. We are so glad to have you be a part of our special day.

Meet Annie, my bridesmaid! Annie and I have known each other since high school. Annie and I have become so close over the years. We have the strongest friendship bond if it comes from school, camping, bridesmaid duties for her wedding. Her fiance and Zach have been friends since they were first introduced and were sorta the same in ways. Horse-loving cowboys! In 2021 we got the news that our besties were expecting a baby boy Westyn James! We were so thrilled that he made his arrival and can share our big day with us along with his momma and daddy.

Meet Haley, my flower girl! AKA sassy pants/cousin. What a loving adventure it was when you entered the world. We got another little girl to spoil. I enjoy so much watching her do what she loves to dance. dance.  She sure is feisty, smart, and all about the girly girl. I'm so glad to have her be a part of my day.

Like any normal day, October 16th was the day my guy asked me to be his Wife(Finally)! On October the 16th we and our families gather around for our annual camping trip for Jenny Wiley public trick or treating for all the kiddos. It got canceled due to covid but, we all still camped. They allowed the kids in the campground to come by, so we decorated as if all the kids were coming. Little did I know they were planning my engagement, I knew something was up Zach wanted to clean up, he always wears (work clothes with stains and stripes). I just let the day be I cleaned up threw some nicer clothes on, fixed my hair, and put makeup on. Who does that while camping I know?!? As it got dark we all started to take pictures under the balloon arch, that’s when they wanted me and Zach to take a picture! That's when his KNEE DROPPED. “Will you marry me”? I think it's time, don’t you? My answer ( I know) who says that I didn’t know what to say at the moment. He slides the ring on my finger then I answered with a big ole YES!

Always a story behind things! This was my RING, everyone knows that I have not shut up about this ring. While I and Zach were on vacation in Saint Pete, Florida we drove about 45 mins to the Tanger outlets in Tampa. While then begin to shop, go in a couple of stores. I said Zach let’s go to that Kay’s outlet he said no I’m not going in there he said “I know what it will be” I said I’m not going to the ring section I wanna look at the necklaces, he finally agrees. I looked around didn’t see anything I like, I looked over and he was in the ring section, so you know me I’m gonna go look too. I look at a couple of styles, got some out of the cases they were outrageous talking about going to have to sell a truck. Kay’s worker looked at me and said what do you want to spend, we told her. She takes us down to another case still way over the budget. I looked at Kay’s worker I said “honey they ain’t no way I will let him spend that on a ring, you can just put that thing back in the case”. Zach got embarrassed and went down to another case he saw the princess cut style he likes, she got it out for him. I tried it on a fit perfectly on my finger. How many rings do you try on and fit? It was the one! She said honey I can give you a really good deal I said “what’s a good deal then” she told us. Zach said I’m Not buying it you are with me, he said I haven’t got that much money on me. “Rolling my eyes knowing good and well what he had”. We left I was so mad he didn’t get that ring, he could have put it up I told him. We went to the Nike outlet and I looked for 5 mins and said mom I’m ready to leave, I was still mad. We went to the car, Zach said I’m gonna run and see what size that was. He was in there a good 15 mins I was getting very impatient and the madder I got. He comes to the car and has finance papers showing they finance and stuff like that ” my eyes rolling “. You know me I gotta invest, looked on the bank account nothing was gone out of there, looked on credit cards nothing there, looked in his wallet money was there. So he didn’t get it, I was mad the rest of vacation and called and told his mom I was so mad and what a deal he had missed out on. Little did I know he had got it and sent it from Tampa to Pikeville where he had his mom pick it up.

This was our first beach trip together, we were heading to myrtle beach. Zach had never been to the beach so I had to break him in some. Update he loves it, as long as he can fish.

Our first beach trip “15”

On our way back from the beach, we made a quick weekend stop at pigeon forge. That is where we learned who can drive the go-carts the fastest. Update I won! 🏎

I had never ridden a horse until I got with Zach, this was the first year I got some riding experience.

This is was the fall ride. So we had to pose for a couple of pictures! The kiss was the best💋.

He said he was trying to give me the best country Christmas, these pictures were taken at Stonecrest.

Meet Sarah the horse! This was the first horse Zach purchased when we got together. She was a standardbred. Later on, I got a horse lesson on what the different types were. She was considered a racing horse, but she was the best girl.

This was our second beach trip. I told you I would get him to come back.

This was the best concert. This was where we got to spend three days in Lexington to watch all kinds of country singers.

He was not about this trip! You can’t make a country boy a city boy! We rode a 14hrs bus ride, walked 27 miles! We made memories that’s all he said it was good for.

Hunting buddies for life “15”

Meet Gunner! After a few months of dating, I told Zach we should get a puppy to grow with our relationship. He agreed! He became an inside dog at his mom and dad's house. So he’s everyone’s pup now. Update we still got him He’s beyond spoiled, eats a lot, and is very protective. His favorite things are squeaky toys and camping!

When I and Zach first met, he worked at Wendy’s in Coal run. I’ve never made so many trips to Pikeville to eat. I spent time with him on his lunch breaks♥️

After a couple of months after we dated I discovered I had chronic kidney stones. I went to the ER at McDowell and had to go to Lexington for an emergency surgery, where landed me a couple of days in the hospital. But, Zach never left my side the whole time I was sick!

This trip was awesome, we got to see all kinds of western stores, grand ole Opry, and country artists' bars. We are definitely overdue for another trip. Enjoy the picture of Zach

Our first attempt was to make build a gingerbread house. We found out quickly that we didn’t have the patience to do these.
