I first met Emily when we started working together as growers. We spent hours together everyday discussing what we enjoy, opinions on each others life events, and sweating our asses off. Over time I began to catch myself spending most of my time around the parts of the facility that she worked. We would crack each other up with stories and shenanigans to make the days less boring and more often than not I could find her by listening for the sound of belching or angry ranting in a southern accent. Slowly, I started to fall in love with Emily as we became very close friends and I learned that she is just grumpy as hell before ten o'clock in the morning. Its just how she is and not because she is mad at you. Eventually, we started spending time outside of work together with mutual friends and I came around to asking her on a date to my favorite sushi restaurant in town. I loved Emily because she was not shy about her beliefs or who she was as a person. Ever since we started dating she has been nothing but a great friend to me and the best part of my day. We have been through more ups and downs than I can count but we still love and appreciate each other. I honestly never thought I would find someone who was pretty and would be willing to backpack ten miles over three days without showering and still enjoy it. I can't wait to see what adventures life has in store for us!
