Our Wedding

Adrian and Emily met while playing PourHouse trivia at Cushwa Brewery in 2019. They were on rival teams, but both had secret crushes on the other for months. Finally Adrian got the courage to ask Emily on a date, which she accepted. Their first date was getting street tacos right before Thursday night trivia (of course). A few months after Emily and Adrian started dating the pandemic hit. During covid they split time at each other’s places (Adrian’s former house in Martinsburg, and Emily’s apartment in downtown Frederick above the piano shop). Though a difficult time in many ways, Emily and Adrian’s relationship blossomed quickly as they navigated the pandemic together. During this time, Adrian and Emily enjoyed: running together, playing board games, collecting records, and cooking meals with each other, all while continuing to play PourHouse trivia, albeit virtually. In February of 2021, their relationship took a big step when Adrian moved into Emily’s downtown Frederick apartment. Their relationship was solidified as they learned to live together in a 500 square foot space. They had a wonderful, cramped year of exploring downtown Frederick together while listening to the piano music below them. In January of 2022, Emily and Adrian decided to purchase a house of their own with more space to grow. They closed on the Frederick 2nd street fixer-upper and quickly went to work updating the space to make it their own. And because they weren’t busy enough, they adopted their first child, Reximus Maximus, aka the arm breaker. Finally after 4 years of dating, Adrian proposed to Emily in front of Öxarárfoss waterfall in Iceland. Adrian was a nervous wreck, but lived to tell the story and continued to travel around Iceland and Scotland with his new Fiancé. Together Emily and Adrian have gone through difficult times including a world pandemic, major surgery, a full house renovation, and multiple job changes between each of them. However, with every challenge their relationship grew stronger. Now, Emily and Adrian have a bond built on trust, support, adventure, and joy. Today, they still enjoy traveling, running, dancing to music from their victrola, and of course playing trivia. They cannot wait to celebrate their love on 13JUN2025 with the people who mean the most to them!

Daniel, aka Danno, is Adrian's cousin. They both attended West Virginia University, as Daniel took him under his wing as an underclassman in Morgantown

Austin is Adrian's old brother. He has always been there to help guide Adrian and be a good role model

Tim and Adrian coached Freshmen Boys Basketball together in 2014-2016 and formed a strong bond and friendship during those years beyond the court.  They would later rejoin forces coaching the Lady Applemen in 2022

Ronnie and Adrian met in 2016 when beginning the rebuild of the Lady Applemen Basketball Program. Their friendship and brotherhood grew beyond the court to spending time with family, golfing, and talking every facet of basketball.

Kaitlyn and Adrian met working at Musselman High School in the history department. A simple invitation to run a 5K in Shepherdstown would lead to lifelong friendship with her and her husband, Steve

Steve and Adrian were introduced through his brother, Austin when working together at Sears. However it would be Kaitlyn, Steve's wife, who brought them together when inviting Adrian to run a 5K in Shepherdstown.

Huston and Adrian met while attending West Virginia University through mutual friends. Their friendship grew even more when he and his family moved to Berkeley County, WV

One of our favorite places to get a cocktail!  McClintok’s Distillery is right off the creek downtown, so a perfect location to end after a walk down the Carrol Creek Park.

If you are looking to stretch your legs, Carrol Creek Park is a beautiful place to take a stroll and see some of Downtown Frederick.  It happens to be Rex’s favorite walkie spots as well. The walking path along the creek connects from Baker Park on one side, to the “Brewmuda” Triangle on the other, convenient for a quick pint after your walk!

For the history buffs -  A great little museum in downtown Frederick covering the medical, surgical, and nursing practices used in the American Civil War. Frederick is rich with Civil War history, so lots of the exhibits contain local facts as well.

Every Thursday in the summer from 5-8, Downtown Frederick hosts Alive at Five at the Carrol Creek Amphitheater.  There is a different live band each week, food trucks and a beer and wine tent for purchase.  Only $5 to enter, Alive at Five is a great time for anyone getting into Frederick a day before the wedding
