Emily and Ben began their long history in Kindergarten when they learned to play the glockenspiel side by side in a Kindermusic class.

Their paths crossed once again in high school where they became very good friends and maintained their friendship into college. While Ben attended the University of Michigan and Emily was at Michigan State University, they planned to align each of their summer study abroad programs in Spain so they could travel Europe together afterwards. Three weeks of travel spanning seven countries is a lot of time to spend with "just a friend". Not surprisingly, they immediately started dating upon returning home.

They moved to Chicago after college for a brief period and have since lived in Grand Rapids where Ben could pursue medical school for four years. With medical school nearly concluding, the residency match in March will determine where they head next. They are excited to embark on this next chapter of their lives and explore a new area.

They look forward to a life of traveling, camping, hiking, farmers' markets, and spending time with family and friends.
