Caiden and I both attended the University of Southern Indiana and didn't meet until our last year of schooling. We shared one class our whole time at USI and just so happened to be his last semester, and this class, funny enough, was all online! This class was group based and we were assigned one group for the entire semester to work on a long project. When reading the list of who was in my group, it said "John Hahn." Me being me thought to myself, who names their kid John, and if that's not the case, he's at least 50! Little did I know he was gonna be the love of my life! When our group met the first time ON ZOOM, I thought, "it's okay to name your kid John if he looks like that!" Of course I HAD to get his number, we were in the same group! How else would we communicate about school? School email? No thanks! During this zoom meeting, he informed us he went by Caiden (his middle name)... I was relieved haha! We had meetings about once a week to stay on track for the project and multiple weeks went by and he had never reached out, at this point I didn't think he was interested. So me and my bold self reached out to him to see if he wanted to grab drinks on a random Thursday after I got off work at 8:30p.m. If any of you know me, you know that's when I go to BED! So I must've really wanted to meet him lol. He picked me up that night and took me to grab drinks and an appetizer. He talked my ear off the entire time driving to the restaurant. During dinner I got this feeling he was the one for me! All of our values and goals lined up and he was such a gentleman. I don't think I've opened my car door since the night we met. After we left the restaurant, neither one of us wanted it to be over or go home, so we drove around for 5 hours until 2 a.m. Even then I didn't want to leave. It was the best night of my life and I will never forget the feelings that came upon me that night! I still get my little butterflies every time he comes home from work. After that night, the rest was history! We were together almost every evening and I soon became a Reitz football fan (he coaches) lol! God works in mysterious ways and we are so thankful!
