Volcano Heli is an Icelandic company focused on tourism and photography flights in Iceland. The company offers customers the opportunity to explore Iceland’s impressive and ever changing landscapes from high above. The helicopter rides promote a new perspective from the popular visited places in Iceland, such as Gulfoss and Geysir, lava fields and different volcanoes, but also most importantly remote and inaccessible locations, which can sometimes only be reached by helicopter. This especially includes the highlands and it’s many explorations around Vatnajökull, the biggest glacier in Europe. Customers can be taken to remote locations to discover new landscapes as with the volcanic fissure eruption at Holuhraun. To fly close to the eruption and feel the power of nature is an unforgettable experience.

In 1986, the district association of the west part of the city funded a competition for a new outdoor sculpture to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the city of Reykjavík. Jón Gunnar´s Sun Voyager won the competition, and the aluminium model (42,5 x 88 x 36 cm ) was presented to the city for enlargement. The full-sized Sun Voyager was eventually unveiled on Sæbraut on the birthday of the city of Reykjavík, August 18th , 1990.
The work is constructed of quality stainless steel and stands on a circle of granite slabs surrounded by so-called “town-hall concrete." The engineering of the sculpture was supervised by the technologist Sigurjón Yngvason and overseen by the artist Kristinn E. Hrafnsson in close cooperation with Jón Gunnar himself, the building itself was carried out by Reynir Hjálmtýrsson at Orri, Mosfellssveit.

Vik is a central southern city in Iceland with beautiful black sand beaches and a small town community. Michael and Emily will be reading their vows in Vik Aug. 28 with their families at a private ceremony.
In the ocean along the Vik beach, you'll see three pillar mountains. According to Icelandic folklore, these pillars used to be trolls who are immortalized forever in the water because while dragging a three-mast ship towards land, they took too long to reach the shore, and at sunrise were turned to stone. Locals believe that if you drive near by the cliffs you can hear their wails and moans, as they long for their home in the mountains.
Home to incredible glaciers, Iceland affords the unique opportunity to hike these icy mountains.
While incredibly dangerous, a guided tour provides the expertise of trained glacier hikers that will assist every step of the way!
The most visited tourist attractions in Iceland, the Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa in southwestern Iceland famous for its brilliant blue waters and spa.
