Ryan & Emily met at Stockton University. They were both more than halfway through their freshman year. They saw each other from afar around campus, but never spoke. Emily's friend, Lindsay, went to James Madison University with Ryan's cousin/friend, Kevin. They both spoke about their interest in one another to their friends. Finally, with a push from Kevin, Ryan messaged Emily on Facebook (see message above). They had their first "date" - watching John Tucker Must Die in Ryan's dorm room. After that, they were inseparable. On June 7th, 2013, Ryan asked Emily to be his girlfriend.

After almost 6 years of dating, Ryan asked Emily to marry him on March 1st, 2019! Ryan told Emily for weeks that they were going out to dinner that night in Point Pleasant with his family. On their way down, Ryan told Emily they needed to make a stop at the Point Pleasant Inlet for a family picture. Emily was suspicious at this point, but did not want to get her hopes up. Not long after arriving, Ryan explained they were there for a different reason. Ryan's sister, Erin, & her husband, JR, captured it all! Ryan asked Emily to spend the rest of her life with him, and she thought 'about damn time!'

After 2 cancelled dates due to COVID-19....

Emily & Ryan will FINALLY become husband & wife on April 16, 2021!
