Our Wedding

Emily and James met at the University of Cincinnati—Emily studying nursing and James studying mechanical engineering—and what started as a friendship through mutual friends slowly turned into something more. Their first date was December 13, 2021: lunch at Ruth’s, then an afternoon walk in the park where they each kept a pinecone as a little souvenir.		After James graduated in 2023 and Emily finished school in 2024, they moved to Westerville, Ohio and settled into life together. In September 2024 Emily convinced James to “just look” at puppies—then Maisy, a ball of energy with one blue eye, came home and upended a few plans (in the best way). Planning a proposal around a new puppy took some creativity.		Emily’s nursing-school friends organized a trip to Krohn Conservatory and a wine night; with everyone oddly insisting Emily get her nails done, she and James drove to Cincinnati while Maisy stayed with Emily’s parents. The night before, friends Izzy, Eva, and Somya hosted, and the next morning Izzy left her apartment keys and encouraged Emily to do her hair and makeup—odd, but harmless, or so Emily thought.		At the conservatory, after an iced coffee and almost forgetting to change out of sneakers, Emily arrived to find some of the boys awkwardly on benches and her friends nowhere to be seen. When she turned, she saw James “tying his shoe,” then a small box. Emily said yes! Her friends literally jumped out of the bushes, snapped photos in the conservatory, and celebrated over dinner with Jordan joining to congratulate us.	We’ve spent the time since October 20, 2024 working hard, saving up, and planning —and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Landoll's Mohican Castle features a garden, terrace, a bar and water sports facilities in Loudonville. The resort provides an indoor pool, hot tub and a concierge service. Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, guest rooms at the resort have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms are equipped with a balcony. The rooms will provide guests with a fridge. At Landoll's Mohican Castle you'll find a restaurant serving American cuisine. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options can also be requested. You can play pool at the accommodation, and the area is popular for hiking and skiing. Akron-Canton Regional Airport is 58 miles away.
