Our Story 6 Years in the Making

If you ask Patrick, he really was not looking for anything serious, but all of that changed after their first date. The two embarked on the Grand Tour of Connecticut, eating dinner at Chilis in Shelton, enjoying ice cream at Ferris Acres in Newtown, and having great conversation watching the sunset on Silver Sands Beach in Milford. Patrick eventually got the hint that the night had to come to an end, and... Emilys mom was worried shed been kidnapped. So, he promptly drove her all the way back to Wallingford. His best friend/best man can attest (with receipts!) that Patrick just had his best first date ever.

If you ask Emily, she was new to this and extremely wary of the world of dating apps. To her pleasant surprise, Patrick was a complete gentleman, and truly impressed her with the way they naturally hit it off. His ability to make her laugh and smile bigger than she ever smiled had Emily smitten from day one. After her best friend/maid of honor heard the lengths Patrick went through to make their first date so memorable, it was only a matter of time before Emily and Patrick made it official on June 8th 2018.

Over the next 5 years, Emily and Patrick endured their early to mid twenties together. They dated long distance for two years while attending college in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania respectively. Then, the events of 2020 caused them to abruptly move back home to finish school. Both of them graduated from their living rooms.

After making it through the events of 2020 together, they eventually decided to rent their first apartment in 2021. This was when their cat/child, Peanut joined their family. Due to some awful renting experience at their first place, they essentially packed up Peanut and all of their things overnight at the end of their lease and moved to Downtown Milford into their second apartment in late 2022.

The traffic was much worse, but it was so cute over there as Emily likes to say. Plus, Peanut LOVED looking at all of the people from their second story window. Emily promised this was the last time they would move....that is until...

2023: Emily and Patrick were lucky enough to have an opportunity to purchase their first (and last) home in Trumbull. Playing part time contractors and working closely with their families, they made their final move just in time for the holiday season. Now, the couple and Peanut enjoy their quiet neighborhood.

Patrick worked diligently to receive his license so he could pursue his dream job in water quality, and Emily continues to teach English to middle school children. Just like the early days of their relationship, they still enjoy watching movies, mostly Patricks admittedly good recommendations, and playing cards/board games. The best nights continue to be simply enjoying each others company over a glass of wine and some snacks.

On July 29th, 2024, Patrick (finally) proposed to Emily at the New England Carousel Museum in Bristol, CT. Although Emily had a feeling something big was happening soon, Patrick’s thorough and impeccable planning created yet another happy memory that they will always cherish.

On that beautiful day, the couple chose to share their happy, quiet, simple lives together forever. They are overwhelmed with joy with what is in store for the rest of their lives.

Patrick and Emily cannot wait to celebrate with you in person at their wedding on June 21st, 2025!
