It all started in the year of 2016, in a biology class at St. Mary’s Catholic High School, where Benedict sat just behind Emily. Though they never dated back then, Benedict always had a secret crush. The two followed each other on social media, staying in the loop with each other's lives, but never became anything more than friends.

Life took them on different paths for a while, but God had other plans. Emily and her girlfriends would often stop by the restaurants where Benedict worked, and when the timing was finally right, Benedict made his move. That friendship quickly grew into something much more meaningful.

The proposal was nothing short of magical. They hiked together along the breathtaking coast of Kaʻena Point in Oʻahu. With the waves and beauty of Hawaii as their witness, Benedict got down on one knee, and proposed.

Now, they look forward to preparing for the sacrament of marriage, eager to grow together in faith and to celebrate it with each of you.
