Curtis and Em met in October 2020 during a pre-vaccination COVID world. They met on Hinge, where Curtis and Em first shared their passions about contributing positively to the world, and then had their first Skype date two weeks later, where they talked for hours about their interests and Curtis taught Em everything she knows about water polo. After a couple more Skype dates, they had their first in-person date on Halloween in Golden Gate Park, where Em was pleasantly surprised by Curtis' volleyball skills and they laughed about all the silly costumes they saw while people watching. They continued going on outdoor dates and staying mostly six feet apart, waiting for the day they could finally date like normal. Although the beginning of their relationship was far from typical, their love and bond was strengthened by a deep emotional connection forged by a COVID-imposed physical distance. They have been together ever since.

Today, you can find Curtis and Em spending nights and weekends playing volleyball and board games, trolling their cat Goomz, binge-watching shows that Curtis has already seen, and eating at their favorite hot pot and Thai restaurants. They are so excited to continue their beautiful life together and to share this momentous day with all of their beloved friends and family.
