If you are walking through the quarter. Stop in here for a hurricane. Also, grab a table and watch the dueling pianos.
This is one of the best gator tours. This company will pick you up throughout the city and bring you ~35 min south to the swamps! You will see a ton of gators!
New Orleans is a haunted city, and this ghost tour is fun. It is around 2 hours, with multiple spots to stop and grab a drink and listen to the lore of New Orleans
There are many places to eat and drink in New Orleans, and we never had a bad meal while living there. Here are a few of our favorite spots.
Turkey & the Wolf: This is maybe the best sandwich you will ever have. Mason, the chef, is famous, and the restaurant is funky as hell. The food is unique and so good.
Molly's Rise & Shine: This is Emily's favorite place. It's great for breakfast and lunch. Do not sleep on the carrot yogurt!
Bacchanal: This is a wine bar in the Bywater section of New Orleans. It is heaven on earth. You will walk in there, pick up a bottle of wine and cheese, and then sit on a patio and listen to the best jazz music.
Barrel Proof: If you love bourbon and $5 margaritas, this is your place. It is a fun bar!
Atchafalaya: This little restaurant is delicious! Great southern, New Orleans food.
Saba: Emily's favorite restaurant. This place is famous for its Mediterranean food.
Two restaurants near the quarter that you should try are Cochon and its Sister restaurant, Peche. Classic southern food with a great vibe.
La Boulangerie: This French baker has the best sweet treats! Stop in for some croissants and coffee.
There are a ton of breweries, too, in New Orleans! We are hosting an event at Miel, but if you have time, check out NOLA Brew and Urban South!
