Christopher, a senior at the University of Alabama, and Emily, a sophomore at Mississippi State, met online during the Covid-19 pandemic. They got each other’s number and started texting the night they met. The days following were filled with late nights getting to know each other over the phone.
After a week of messaging over the phone, Mississippi State was going on Spring Break, and Emily was going to Destin, FL. Emily realized she would be passing through Tuscaloosa for spring break and suggested that they go on a date. Their first date was full of good conversations, and it felt like they'd known each other for ages. They laughed, shared stories, and when Emily left for the beach, they were both already planning their next date.
Their connection grew stronger with each visit, despite the distance. 2.5 years of traveling back and forth flew by until Emily graduated. Both Christopher and Emily landed jobs in Birmingham. They are ready to start the next chapter of their adventure side by side.
