Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive at The Cotton Press at 4 PM, 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time.

When you arrive you will go over train tracks and the venue will be on your right. The road straight ahead will take you to the parking lot. If this parking lot is full go out and turn on the road directly in front of the venue, The Cotton Press will be on your left. The next building beside The Cotton Press has overflow parking available.

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie or a sports coat.

We checked the statistics on temperature and chance of rain in the last ten years and the results were: High is estimated to be 85 and low is 63. In the past ten years on May 4th it rained twice, so odds in our favor, it will not rain.

Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all taking place at The Cotton Press. If weather permits we will have the ceremony outside on the lawn under the beautiful trees, located in the back of the venue. Cocktail hour will be from 5PM - 6PM on the patio and lawn, also located at the back of the venue. Reception doors will open and dinner will start at 6PM, this will be inside.

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

There are two hotels we recommend within 15-20 minutes from the venue in Newberry. One is Hampton Inn Newberry Opera House-1201 Nance Street. Another is Holiday Inn Express Newberry-121Truman Avenue. There is also a Quality Inn and a Days Inn located in Newberry as well. There are also hotels 20-25 minutes away in Columbia if that is closer to home for you.
