Greg and Emily met junior year of college at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. They first met on Halloween of 2014 at a gathering of mutual friends. They continued to hang out in groups of friends for a few months until they started dating the following spring. After some time together that summer, they parted ways for about a year, until they reconnected during Greg's final year of undergrad and Emily's first year of veterinary school. They made the relationship official again on Halloween in 2016.

When Greg graduated he decided to move to Denver, CO in the summer of 2017. They dated long distance and traveled between CO and IA while Emily was finishing veterinary school. Emily graduated in 2020 and moved to Denver in June 2020 during the pandemic and they have been in Denver since!!

They currently live in a house in Westminster, CO with their two dogs (Josie and Ripley) and three cats (Edna, Oliver, and Piper).
