Hunter and Emily met during one of both of their all-time favorite Baylor traditions: Pigskin. Hunter's fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega, and Emily's sorority, Delta Delta Delta combined to do a Girlscout/Boyscout act on stage. During practice, both Emily & Hunter's partners were absent and the Pigskin chairs asked that they work together in their absence. After that, the rest is history. Hunter and Emily loved dating throughout college and attending each other's social events every semester.
Hunter left no detail missing when planning his proposal for Emily. After the Baylor homecoming parade where Emily rode as a Homecoming Princess, Hunter escorted her to Cameron Park where he asked her to marry him. After an easy yes, Hunter called for everyone to join him and Emily's family members including her mom, dad, brother, cousin, grandmother, and more came running out from behind the pavilion. The couple enjoyed spending time with Emily and Hunter's family after the proposal and the rest of the day was celebrated with a Baylor Football win and wonderful unexpected time with friends and family.
