Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center

The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center is near and dear to our hearts. It is the first nature center Emily worked for and she attributes her experience there as her ignition into the Outdoor and Environmental Education world!

You can explore trails, visit with the rehabilitated raptors or even rent a kayak or two and enjoy a paddle on the Chesapeake Bay.

Well we couldn't leave out the National Parks! If you are looking to make a weekend out of your visit, consider taking a trip to the beach and enjoying Assateague Island.

Fun Fact: Emily did most of her Marine Wetland field courses in and around Assateague, researching the relationship between the vital salt marsh hay and the wild horse population.
