On August 15, 2020, we met to view Turtle Odyssey at the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX. We saw each other every single evening beginning January of 2021, and it was clear that we were on track to being inseparable. By March of 2021, it was official. During the next two years, we made more than our fair share of good memories not only in the exciting times, but also in the quiet moments too. We realized more and more every day that we couldn’t imagine spending the rest of our lives without each other. After an unexpected trip out of town separated us for a week, Sam had decided the time was finally right. The intention was to propose on our second anniversary in 2 months, but he couldn’t contain his excitement once he received the custom-made ring. On January 15, 2023, Sam planned a date where we visited all the places from our first date, including the IMAX, the novelty candy shop, and our favorite ramen spot. By the evening, we had circled back to the arch in front of the Tennessee Aquarium which we climbed for photos. An aquarium employee captured my complete shock when Sam knelt down and presented the ring. Of course, I said yes. We are so excited to have our closest family and friends share our day with us.
