We met during our college years while working on campus. We remained coworkers for a couple years before starting to hang out as friends outside of work. We worked together a lot more than before because Cameron conveniently scheduled himself when Emily was working. Cameron asked Emily out over text to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean" at his house. Emily doesn't really like this movie but decided to go since he was cute. After moving onto new jobs, we remained close, but just friends, as Emily was not ready for anything serious. After getting her wisdom teeth out, Emily admitted to Cameron she had feelings for him and the adventure began.

Emily and Cameron started their first official date at Buffalo Park for a walk and to see the sunset. This turned into dinner at IHOP. Emily and Cameron love to make the most of where they live, doing lots of hiking and traveling around the area. Their first trip as a couple was a road trip to Las Vegas and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. We loved visiting the Grand Canyon, Phoenix, and local hikes in Sedona. We moved from Arizona to the Pacific Northwest. Within the first year of living here, Emily and Cameron made sure to visit three out of four national parks together as well as Iceland and Hope, Canada. Emily and Cameron have fallen in love with all of the nature the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Hoh Rainforest, Olympic National Park

Cameron and Emily planned a weekend road trip around Olympic National Park. Cameron wanted to surprise Emily and knew it would be too obvious if he planned something. Cameron has no idea where the exact stops were on the road trip, but he knew this would be the place to propose. After rain ruled the first day of the trip, Cameron was feeling nervous. After arriving in the Hoh Rainforest, the quietest place in the country, he knew this was the place. Surrounded by moss covered trees, Cameron pretend to take photos of Emily and when she turned around he asked "Will you marry me?" She happily said yes and this marked the beginning of the engaged era. Emily also wanted the chance to propose so a week later she proposed in front of an airplane and the two went on a gorgeous flight over the Columbia River Gorge.
