Emily & Zach

Love On the Air (yes, this sounds like a Hallmark movie)

Zach and Emily met in August of 2015, Emily's first week at Texas A&M, at a St. Mary's picnic. They continued to see each other around St. Mary's at different events. At the time, Emily co-hosted a radio show at St. Mary's with one of Zach's friends from class, which helped them continue to get to know each other a bit more. The radio talk show, Porch Talk, was a show that consisted of random topics that was chosen on the spot by the hosts. Zach was the only one who listened to the show...the sole listener. One night as Emily did the talk show solo, Zach was listening and volunteered to come on the show to help. He drove over, only to have his microphone muted during his interview with Emily....which was realized halfway through the show. With Zach on the show, it meant the listener audience was a solid zero. After that night, Zach still continued to be the faithful listener of Porch Talk, despite experiencing Emily's major lack of radio skills.

In March, Zach asked Emily out on a date over spring break. He took her on the perfect first date- mass, dinner, and ice skating!! They dated for the rest of the semester, knowing he was going to graduate and move. He graduated in May, both traveled abroad May to July-Zach to Spain and Emily to Italy, then he moved to Virginia for a long year and a half, while Emily stayed at Texas A&M to continue school. The Lord blessed their relationship with many times to see each other, some expected and others not. They learned heart-ache, patience, and how to sacrifice for love, while in two separate states. In July, Emily went out to California (which she unexpectedly LOVES) to visit Zach's family for the first time. It was a perfect vacation, and it became even better when he proposed Wednesday night, July 5th, on the beach in Monterey Bay after dinner. Through lots of discernment, Emily knew Zach was the one she would marry, but the proposal was the biggest surprise of her life!! Though he had the ring in his bag all week, he chose the perfect moment.

He FINALLY transferred offices and moved down to Dallas in October! Though they still aren't in the same city, three hours beats thousands of miles! They can't wait to be united in the sacrament of marriage to be Mr. and Mrs. Zachary Anderson!
