Are children allowed or is this an adult only wedding?
The property of Cavo Ventus villa is not considered child friendly. Our wedding will be an adults only celebration, but please contact us as exceptions can be made.
Will there be a hotel block for reservations?
Our wedding planner has recommended that guests book their own accommodations as there are many hotels on the island.
The following hotels were recommended,
Vedema Resort https://vedema.gr
Athermi Suites https://athermisuites.com/
Elements Suites https://www.elementssuites.com/
Alia Mansion by K&K https://alia-mansion-by-kk.allcycladeshotels.com
Thermes Luxury Villas https://thermesvillas.hotelbrain.com/
Azanti Suites https://www.azantisuites.com
Ambeli Sunset Villas https://www.ambelisunsetvillas.com
Star Hotel https://hotelstar.gr/en/
There are many hotels on the island to book from outside of the list above. There are options for Hilton and Marriot for those that want to spend some points. We have also been looking into Air BnB properties and are finding very nice options that appear to be a good value. We personally will be looking to book an air bnb due to the amount of time we will be on the island.
How do we get to and from the venue?
We will have a bus transfer in front of the Star Hotel (https://hotelstar.gr/en/) to and from the venue. Do not feel obligated to stay there, as mentioned above all of the hotels are within short walking distances of each other.
Do you recommend renting a car?
We will be renting a car for the time that we will be there. We have found rental deals to be significantly more affordable than we are used to here.
How do we get to Santorini?
First you will have to fly to Greece to Athens International Airport. You can then take a short 45 minute flight from Athens International Airport to Santorini International Airport. We would recommend for all the travelers that want to see a bit of Greece before seeing us, fly into Athens and spend a day or two to recover and see the Parthenon.
