It all began our freshman year of college, in a crowded dorm common room filled with laughter, new faces, and the sound of a game called Signs. Through all the chaos, Jackson and Emily crossed paths.

Emily's first impression of Jackson was that he was sweet, empathetic, outgoing, and incredibly committed. There was something about the way he treated others that stood out. He had a heart that made people feel seen. Jackson, on the other hand, saw in Emily a beauty that was more than just on the outside. She radiated kindness, compassion, and a deep love for the Lord that he instantly admired.

Though we went our separate ways for most of that first semester, something had shifted. By the end of that fall, our paths began to intertwine more closely. What started as a simple connection blossomed into a sweet friendship.

Over Christmas break, we stayed up late talking on the phone, night after night. We shared childhood stories, talked about our families, our dreams, and everything in between. With every conversation, we realized how naturally we fit together like puzzle pieces that had finally found their place.

When we returned for second semester, we went on our first real date. From that moment on, our hearts knew this was something special. Even from that very first night in the common room, something in us quietly knew: this was love.

Since then, our love has only grown, nurtured by laughter, late-night talks, shared adventures, movie marathons, scratch-off tickets, and trying every new food we can find.

Through thick and thin, the Lord has been the foundation of our relationship. We have found our love centered upon His will for our relationship. We pray our love always aligns with the calling He has for our lives.

Every day with each other is a new chapter, and we can't wait to begin this next one as husband and wife.
