Is there a dress code?

No, there is no strict dress code. Cocktail attire is quite typical for Spanish/American weddings. If wearing a dress or skirt, it is typical in Spanish weddings to wear floor length.

The only request would be that you would refrain from wearing white.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

This will be indicated during the process of your RSVP. If doubts, please contact us.

Do you have a gift registry?

Please know that your presence is the best gift you could provide, but should you feel inclined, we have a gift list which can be accessed here: https://www.myregistry.com/wedding-registry/emily-nischwitz-and-albert-fradera-sola-schriesheim-bw/4183175.

2- Large variety of hotels and Airbnb options:

This website (https://unknownstays.com/where-to-stay-in-sitges-spain/) provides some nice insights on where to stay. This way you can find a location that fits best, ranging from the city center, with very active nightlife, to tranquil sea views, or something in the middle!

What is there to do in Sitges?

Our favorite things to in Sitges are:

Enjoy the beautiful beaches! Platja de les Anquines and Platja Terramar are very close to the Sunway Hotel. The beaches in the area are generally very nice.

The old town is absolutely beautiful. It is an old fisherman's town which has beautiful views and nice shopping.

The Sitges boardwalk is about 2 km long, offering a pleasant location for a leisurely stroll and the opportunity to enjoy refreshments at the numerous seaside chiringuitos.

Cau Ferrat Museum. Founded by the painter Santiago Rusiñol as a workshop, it became a common rendezvous site for Catalan modernist artists. Catalan modernisme, a branch of the Art Nouveau style, was an artistic movement that emerged around the turn of the 20th century, with Antoni Gaudí and his architecture being one of its greatest exponents. At the museum, you can enjoy original artwork pieces, especially those by Santiago Rusiñol himself. For more details, visit the following link:

Palau de maricel. One of the most emblematic buildings in Sitges, it offers a glimpse into the Noucentisme artistic movement. Emerging as a response (and rejection) of the Modernisme movement, which had a significant presence in Sitges (as mentioned in the previous paragraph), Noucentisme artists glorified order and a return to classical Roman and Greek styles. What is there to eat in Sitges?

1- Delicious dishes to give a try:

Xató. A traditional dish from the Garraf county, where Sitges is located, Xató is a sauce which is usually combined with salad and salt-dried fish. A must-try from the region. You can read more about it on wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xat%C3%B3).

Fish. Either grilled, oven-roasted or in stews (like Suquet de Rap), being Sitges a coastal town you can always find a variety of fresh fish dishes.

Paella. Though originating in València (approximately 4 hours from Sitges), it has become a prominent dish along the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast.

2- Some restaurants we can recommend:

$$$ - Acqua (associated with the Sunway Hotel)

$$ - Restaurant Picnic Sitges
