What is the weather like in Greenville during this time of year?
It’s fall y’all, and not the “Florida Fall” we grew up with. Expect cool mornings, with lows in the 40s-50s and highs in the 60-70s. We do get the occasional rainy days during this season, so pack accordingly. We suggest to keep an eye on the weather as we get closer to the date in order to be prepared!
Is the Welcome Party for family only?
No! We would love to see everyone who is already in town to kick start our weekend festivities! Any alcohol you wish to have will be at your own expense!
Is there a dress code for guests for the ceremony/reception?
Our church is traditional compared to some others, so we ask that you come in your best semi-formal attire. Gentlemen, we recommend that you wear a dark suit and tie, and women wear a knee- length, midi, or floor length dress, please nothing above the knees. Ladies, a nice two piece pant suit is also welcome. Please no jeans. For our special day we request that all of our guests show out for the occasion! There is no need to change in between the ceremony and reception, however feel free to freshen up during the Catholic gap.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, that will promptly start at 2pm.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding ceremony?
While we are happy to be sharing this moment with our friends and family, we respectfully request that our guests refrain from using any electronics for the duration of our ceremony. We want everyone to fully soak in the moment. Not to mention, a church is no place to whip out your phone.
Are children welcome?
Yes! We absolutely love your big families, and would love for them to be a part of our special day. All invites will be included in your invitation, so if your child is invited to the big day they will be included in your RSVP count, so please accept or decline for them as well.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
As much as we would like to have everyone come to our party of the year, we do have a limited guest count. If you are granted a plus one it will be included in your RSVP to either accept or decline.
What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue(s)?
For our ceremony, the Church is a short 3-4 mile drive outside of Downtown Greenville. You are welcome to drive to the church as there is plenty of parking. Uber or Lyft is also an available option.
Our reception venue is in the heart of Downtown Greenville, so we suggest if you are staying in downtown to park at your respective locations and walk if you are able. Unfortunately, there is limited available parking at our venue.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
Yes, there will be about a two-hour gap between the ceremony and reception. We encourage our guests to use the time to freshen up, grab a cocktail downtown, and get ready for a party!
What should I do if I can not make it?
We are sorry you won't be able to make it, and you will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so that we can plan accordingly.
Where do you recommend I stay?
We have two room blocks, a hotel block reserved at Homewood Suites Greenville Downtown, and an Air BNB block at Mint House- Greenville Downtown. Please check out the "travel" section more information.
Will food and drinks be served at your reception? What kind of food?
Absolutely! Cocktail hour will have light hors d'oeuvres. And to give our guests the full South Carolina experience, dinner will have BBQ catered by local pit masters.
Now would this be an O'Keefe-Obier wedding if there wasn't drinks? The bar will include a variety of beers, wines, and spirits to suit everyone's tastes.
Where are you registered?
Please check out the "registry" section for more information!
I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?
Leading up to the wedding, feel free to reach out to Emily and Brandon directly. During the week of the wedding, please direct any questions to the Matron of Honor, Stephanie Kershner, or one of the Bridesmaid, Katie Rogers.
