Luke and Emily first met in 2011 after Luke's first deployment, at the Little Italy Festival in Clinton, IN. She thought he was cute in his Easter egg colored shirt from Hollister and he thought her backside was nice. They talked and flirted, but unfortunately it wasn't the right time for a relationship. Fast forward to two years later and Luke happened to stroll into Emily’s Mother's garage for a game of Cards Against Humanity with friends. They chatted and played footsie under the table while he whooped her butt in the card game (he's very competitive). He managed to get her number later that night and eventually took her on a date to Applebees’s in Terre Haute, IN after watching the cinematic masterpiece, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (🙄).

Almost ten years later, another deployment, three dogs, a few cancer battles and a home for the dogs to boss them around in, they are delighted to get married in the home where Luke asked Emily to marry him while cooking spaghetti in the kitchen on 12/23/21 and have Luke on Emily’s insurance finally!
