This photo was on August 29, 2015 which was freshman move-in day at Westfield State which was also unknowingly our very first picture “together”. Brian absolutely did not want his Mom taking his picture so she sneakily snapped this one. A few years later, come to find out that my entire family is standing right next to him! I never would of thought this this guy would become my future husband!

Before meeting, both of our roommates had a mutual friend, Antonia, so we were both brought to her dorm room to meet some new people. She was one of the only freshman to have an AC, so in the first few months we were always in her room. We eventually found our freshman college squad - the “squid squad” to be exact!


From that point on, we were always getting together with our group of friends. Antonia quickly noticed that specifically Brian and I would always be next to each other talking. It became a normal occurrence for us to be up talking until 3am on the weekends! For those of you that know me well, I am usually in bed by 10pm so that’s saying something for me!


This was our first “real” picture together in October 2015. I told him we should take a picture together because we were matching, but in reality I just wanted to have a picture to show my friends back home!

He finally asked me to be his girlfriend right outside his dorm room on November 8, 2015 at approximately 11:00pm. I still have a vivid memory of walking back to my dorm room texting Katie & Kathryn how I have a boyfriend!


What I I thought was just taking nice photos on the beach in Punta Cana, turned into a proposal!
