Our Love Story

Picture of Our Love Story

Tyler and I met on a dating app called Hinge. I had only been on the app for two weeks when Tyler made the first move and messaged me. I felt like I had an instant connection with him. Every time Tyler messaged me he was always so polite, kind and sweet.

We decided to meet in person for our first date on December 26, 2022. The whole day I was really excited about meeting him but also super nervous. When I got to the restaurant later that night I messaged Tyler on the app while I was waiting in my car and didn’t get a response right away. I thought he stood me up but after five or so minutes he answered and the whole time he was waiting inside.

Our first date went really well, Tyler was very talkative and also cracked quite a few jokes. He really went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and I was really looking forward to getting to know him more. After dinner we both went home. Tyler messaged me on the app again and told me how much he enjoyed our date. I didn't answer him until the next morning. He thought I ghosted him but I ended up falling asleep!

We very quickly planned our second date for January 2, 2023. We went bowling and I was swindled by Tyler’s bowling skills. This date was filled with so much laughter because of how badly I bowled. I can honestly say I’m the gutter ball queen.

Our third date was on his birthday and we went to the Philly Art Museum. Tyler was really good at planning our dates. He always had a different idea of what to do and I really enjoyed every date we went on. Tyler ended up driving me home and upon dropping me off we had our first kiss. Later that night Tyler asked me if I would be his girlfriend and the rest is history.

Fast forward to the year 2024. Tyler and I had a trip to Disney planned in September. Tyler had a surprise of his own planned. He met with my parents in August and asked them for their blessing. My mom ended up calling my sisters and told them how much it would mean to me if they could be there when he proposed. Tyler and my sisters coordinated between themselves for them to be down in Disney on the first day of our trip.

I had no idea he was planning on proposing in Disney. We went to an area where there is a statue of Walt Disney and took a couple of pictures there before Tyler got down on one knee and proposed. My sisters were there filming the whole thing and I can honestly say I ugly cried for a solid twenty minutes. I was so shocked, excited and happy. I couldn’t believe it was really happening and we both can say it was the best trip of our lives.

Now in 2025, we look forward to sharing our special day with each and every one of you. We will see you all in October!
