Bayshore Boulevard (The Bayshore) is a waterfront road on Hillsborough Bay in South Tampa. If you turn right outside the Epicurean and walk 2 minutes south, you will be there. Its sidewalk is 4.5 miles long, is and10 feet wide. It’s the second longest continuous sidewalk in the US. It runs from downtown to the Tampa Yacht Club. People walk, run, blade… If you walk right for 3 miles you’ll be at the Ballast Point Pier.
Next door to the Epicurean is Chill Bros ice cream. Highly recommend it!
One of the wildest spectacles on Earth, returning to Tampa for the first in more than a decade is the iconic Red Bull Flugtag. Man-made and human-powered crafts soar off of towers and (eventually) into the water. Teams construct their own craft – powered only by human strength and launched from a raised platform. They compete to see who can fly the farthest before landing, using only a running start for momentum. Teams of up to five people will compete with each other as they launch one-of-a-kind airships off the 27-foot-tall flight deck in front of more than 100,000 expected spectators. Up to 40 teams will be judged on the design of their craft, creativity of their pre-flight skit, and the distance of their flight. https://www.redbull.com/us-en/events/red-bull-flugtag-tampa . Two mile walk towards downtown on The Bayshore.
SoHo Tampa (where the Epicurean is), short for "South Howard Avenue" is a residential district within the Hyde Park neighborhood of Tampa. Restaurants and bars run up and down Howard. Walk out your hotel and turn left. You’ll be on South Howard.

With its unobstructed view of the Hillsborough River, the historic structure has been restored and reimagined into what is now a premier Tampa destination. https://armatureworks.com/

Ybor City is Tampa’s oldest neighborhood just northeast of downtown Tampa. The historic district was founded in the 1880s by Vicente Martinez-Ybor and other cigar manufacturers and populated by thousands of immigrants, mainly from Cuba, Spain, and Italy. Restaurants, stores%, interesting architecture.
There’s a trolley from the convention center to Ybor City and the original Columbia Restaurant.
