Our Story

It all started when Jesse followed Emily to Africa... (at least that's what Emily believes). They were going on a mission trip to Ghana (shoutout Threads for Education) to help teachers learn how to teach in a small town called Senase. The ten day trip started out as acquaintances and ended with a beautiful love story (and maybe a sweaty, African kiss or two...).

Where it all began

When returning back to the states, the two spent every night on FaceTime talking about anything and everything. It only took Jesse two weeks to ask Emily to be his girlfriend (on National Girlfriend Day nonetheless). From that moment on the two were inseparable traveling to see each other every weekend, whether that was in the city, Staten Island or Long Island (the better island). Before they knew it, Jesse was getting a job on Long Island and moving in with the family. The two have been inseparable ever since. From spending every anniversary out east at the wineries, having city dates with zero plans and just picking a direction to walk in, and parenting their four-legged child, Kane -- they have created the best memories together and can't wait to create more.
