Our story began in middle school, where we first met in our 8th-grade algebra class and quickly became friends. We started hanging out at Salem Red Sox games on the weekends and enjoying movie dates—“just as friends,” of course. By the spring of our freshman year of high school, Mitch finally got the courage to confess that he liked me as more than a friend. I couldn’t deny that I felt the same way, so we decided to make it “official” on March 18, 2014.
After three and a half years of dating, our relationship turned long-distance when we chose different colleges for undergrad. However, the miles and hours couldn’t keep us apart, so we spent many weekends visiting one another. When Mitch decided to pursue law school after undergrad, I knew I would go with him wherever that might be. When he got the call from Charleston School of Law, we found a place to live in South Carolina and uprooted our lives within three weeks.
On March 16, 2024, Mitch proposed to me on the beach of Sullivan’s Island during a photo shoot to celebrate ten years together. It was the perfect surprise and everything I had always dreamed of. This past May, Mitch graduated with his JD, and we moved back home to Roanoke to buy a house. As we settle down together, we are ecstatic to get married and share our special day with our favorite people. We hope you can join us in April as we begin our next chapter!
