It all started with a swipe, on Tinder that is. I know its not the most romantic way to meet but thats just how it is now a days. When David and I met for our first date, it was July 15th 2022. We met at Secret Garden to have dinner and it was full of laughs the entire time. Neither of us were looking for anything serious at the time, but I think thats how it always happens. You meet your person when you least expect it and when you need it the most. We then became official on July 25th 2022.Two weeks later we moved in together, (and again I know its not the most conventional way to do things, but neither of us are very conventional people). Weve travelled out of state together, weve gone to concerts together, weve had reading dates at coffee shops, weve gone to the beach, weve hiked, weve had our lounge around and do nothing days, we enjoy the same kind of music, and so much more.Weve had our fair share of hard times together but we both know that were going to work it out because there is no other way to do it. In the end we are each others bestfriend and partner.So after being together for almost two years David decides to plan a surprise trip where I know nothing about it. He just tells me to request some time off of work, which I do. Then when it finally comes time to go on our trip, I had a suspicion what was going to happen. Especially when it was pouring rain out and he was very adamant to go hiking up a giant hill. We did have to take a couple of breaks on the way up for both of us to catch our breath, but when we eventually make it up the mountain, after hiking the Vromans Nose Hiking Trail in Middleburgh NY, it opens up to a beautiful cliff where the view is just breathtaking. And when I turn around David is down on one knee with a ring box in his hand. I mayyyyy have said, I knew it! before I said yes, but I still said yes either way so its ok. And on June 21st 2024 we were engaged. And now we get to start this next journey of of our lives together planning our wedding day with all of friends and family and we couldnt be happier to have all of you there to celebrate it with us.
