Emily and Chase met in high school during their senior year in Independent Living. The first day of senior year Mrs. Campbell had students pull a number out of a hat to determine who is going to be in each cooking group. Emily and Chase both pulled the number 2 from the hat and they were put in a cooking group together.

Emily and Chase continued dating throughout college. They both went to Grand Rapids Community College for two years. Then, in 2019, they were both accepted into Michigan State University where Emily studied Elementary Education and Chase studied Media and Information. In 2022 they both graduated with their undergraduate degrees.

On June 8th, 2023, Emily and Chase got engaged up north at Tahquamenon Falls. They had a wonderful time basking in the beautiful sunny day, taking in the wildlife and the breathtaking waterfalls. Then, the true magic unfolded. Unbeknownst to Emily, Chase had arranged for a photographer to capture the perfect moment. When they reached the end of the falls, Chase asked Emily if she would join him in the water. With the photographer ready, Chase dropped to one knee and asked Emily to marry him. The perfect moment was captured, and the rest of the weekend was spent celebrating with some camping.

Planning the wedding has been years in the making. Emily and Chase have enjoyed planning their wedding together. Official wedding planning started the day of the proposal, with setting a date. Emily and Chase changed their wedding date 4 times before settling on August 2nd, 2025. Emily has loved planning, meeting with vendors, and doing DIY projects for the wedding. Chase likes pitching in for DIY projects and being the detail oriented person before anything is considered "done". The wedding has been a long time coming for the couple, but they take every day in stride and are soaking in the feeling of being engaged.

Emily and Chase are very excited to invite and see you at The Felt Estate to celebrate their marriage to each other. It has been 786 days since their engagement, and the couple has been counting down the days until they say "I do". The happiness, excitement, and love from everyone who has supported them from the very beginning has been felt and appreciated by the couple. Emily and Chase want to express their thanks to all who come to the wedding to see and support them in their marriage on August 2nd. Not long now until they are Mr. & Mrs.!
