We first started dating while Zach was in Maryland and Emily was in Virginia so we met in the middle to explore DC. We took our first picture together at the Smithsonian Zoo Lights!

During lockdown, we got to spend lots of time together building puzzle and meeting the neighborhood cats.

Emily started graduate school in Pennsylvania 3 hours away. We learned to appreciate the time we could spend together and adventured in a new state.

After Emily finished her classes, we moved in together in Maryland for Emily to do her internship and Zach to finish his Ph.D. We adopted Mipha and Sidon, two litter-mates!

We moved to Odenton, MD and started new jobs. The cats got a new climbing structure to help them adjust.
