Our Wedding

We first met years ago at our friend Rob’s house. We were friendly, but we didn’t become close right away. At the time, we were both in relationships, so we were simply two of Rob’s friends—hanging out in the same place at the same time. But there’s one day we can both point to when everything changed. It was a beautiful summer day in 2020 when Rob invited us over to spend time with him and Mandy (they weren’t married yet at the time). It felt like any other casual hangout… except this time, something was different. There were sparks. The kind you don’t expect, but can’t ignore. Those sparks led to a Facebook friend request. After a few months of Quinn bravely liking nearly every one of Emily’s posts, he finally worked up the nerve to ask her out on a date. On October 24, 2020, everything changed. Finding a place to go during “good ol’ Covid” wasn’t easy, but we eventually settled on bowling. With shower curtains dividing the lanes, it felt slightly post-apocalyptic—but somehow, it was perfect. We spent the entire evening laughing and talking like we had known each other forever. It felt easy. It felt natural. It felt like the beginning of something special. Fast forward almost four years to April 8, 2024—the day of the solar eclipse. A rare, once-in-a-lifetime moment to witness in New York. We traveled to Indian Lake to stand in the path of totality, not knowing that it would become even more unforgettable. Underneath that breathtaking total solar eclipse, Quinn asked Emily to marry him. As the sky darkened and the world paused, so did we. The crowd around us clapped and cheered, and a kind stranger nearby even captured the moment in photos we’ll treasure forever. Now we’re counting down the days until June 20, 2026—the eve of the summer solstice, when the world lingers a little longer in the light. From bowling lanes divided by shower curtains to standing in the shadow of the moon, our story has unfolded in moments both ordinary and extraordinary. Looking back, it’s hard not to see the poetry in it all—the sparks we didn’t expect, the laughter that came so easily, the darkened sky giving way to light. In every season, under every sky, we’ve chosen each other. On the longest, brightest days of the year, we’ll promise forever—grateful for every twist of fate, every quiet nudge from the universe, and every star that somehow led us here.

Parking

Parking is available at the Columbia Pavilion inside Saratoga Spa State Park. The park charges a $10 parking fee per car. However, your paper wedding invitation acts as a parking pass. Guests who bring the physical invitation will NOT need to pay the fee. Guests without the physical invitation will be required to pay the $10 park entry fee. Tip: Because the entrance booths may have lines during busy park hours, we recommend arriving a few minutes early and having your invitation ready to show the park attendant.

Due to park regulations we have to be out by sunset. If you’re still in the mood to celebrate with us after the reception ends, Saratoga Springs has a lively downtown just a few minutes away! We don’t have official plans (yet), but we encourage you to join us afterwards to keep the party going. We will make sure to update you as we get closer to wedding day!
