Our Wedding

It all began during a Florida State vs. Clemson football game on September 23rd, 2023. I invited some friends over for a watch party at my condo where my work friend, Mady, persistently mentioned her friend Emme. I had yet to meet her. Mady described her as the “perfect girl” for me. Meanwhile, Mady was trying to convince Emme to join us. She was reluctant but finally agreed to meet the group later that night for dinner and more football watching at a local restaurant.   That evening, Emme and I met for the first time. We instantly hit it off. Before the night ended, I asked for her number. After a nerve-wracking mix-up with digits and some help from Mady, I got the correct phone number and we finally connected the next day—from then on, we were inseparable.   I tried to impress her early on with my cooking skills, and by December 2, 2023, we were officially a couple. Within a few short weeks, we knew this was something special and that we were meant to be together.   The next few months were filled with dates and adventures, but long-distance soon became our reality. While I attended Officer Training School in Montgomery, Alabama, Emme continued to study Dental Hygiene in Pensacola. On June 21, 2024, we reunited at my OTS graduation. After a short visit of 5 days, we had to say goodbye yet again. I got all packed up and headed to my new home at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas. Despite the 827 miles between us, we continued to grow closer and plan for our future together.   In August 2024, when she came to visit Del Rio for the first time, we went ring shopping together. Unbeknownst to her, I had already ordered the ring and begun planning the perfect proposal.   By December, everything was set in place. Before heading to Pensacola for Christmas, I asked Mr. Scott Robbins for his blessing to marry his daughter, and he emphatically said yes. On December 26, 2024, I took her to our favorite spot – the beach – and proposed. With the waves crashing behind us, she said yes, and our forever began.   Now, we are eagerly counting down the days to our wedding, as well as for our days of long distance to come to an end. We are both so excited to share and celebrate our love story with all of you!   With love, Micah
