Our Wedding

Our story is one of those "oh, it's meant to be" stories. We attended Ole Miss starting our freshman year all the way up until we graduated. In the 7 years we were there, we only met each other in our 6th year. We're not really sure how we never crossed paths before then because we had mutual friends that we were close with. So the story of how we met is pretty crazy, and it's one of our favorite stories to tell. After spending 5 years in Oxford, our 6th year of school was taking place in Jackson, MS. During this year of school, we had a class where we were randomized into groups. Class was just your small group and a case that we had to dissect. This is where our first interaction really took place. For the first block, we were put into the same group. From here we started talking and noticing each other. At first it was just conversation in class and about whatever work we had. Then, one day I was at a baseball game with some friends, and I had posted something on my story. Lo and behold, Emily swiped up and messaged me about whatever I had posted. This is how we first started talking outside of class. From here we'd DM each other here and there, but we both had always said we would never date someone in the same class as us. As this block ended, we were to be randomized into a new group. I vividly remember messaging our old group what my new group number was, and Emily messaged me saying she was in the same group! And that's when I knew it was meant to be.
