Jarrod and Emily met at Georgia Southern in the Summer of 2020. Jarrod and Emily went on their first “official date” on August 17th. Jarrod asked Emily to be his girlfriend on August 24th.

Jarrod played football at Georgia Southern University and graduated in December of 2020.

Jarrod and Emily became long distance as Jarrod moved back home to coach football at his former high school and prepare for his career in the military.

Emily and Jarrod adopted their dog Rucker in February 2021. Rucker is named after the street "Rucker Lane" that Jarrod and Emily both lived on in college.

Jarrod and Emily created lots of memories and fell in love through travel and lots of Facetime calls.

Emily graduated from Georgia Southern in May of 2022 and returned home to Woodstock to teach Special Education.

Jarrod left for Army Basic Training on May 8th, 2023 and graduated on July 21st, 2023.

Jarrod graduated from Advanced Individual Training on October 20th, 2023.

Jarrod proposed to Emily on October 21st, 2023 at the Columbus Botanical Gardens.
