As some may know, but others may not our love story started in the most unusual way. A story that we actual find fun to tell now that we look back on it.

One day a Sheriff's Deputy showed up to my home out of no where. Being one of the few home that day, I went outside to see what this officer needed. The deputy introduced himself as Chris Gomez and proceeded to ask if we were missing a dog by any chance.

Considering I had just got home I told him I was unsure. He then showed me a dog collar that I immediately recognized. He then informed me a lady had tried to take the dog when she noticed her on the side of HWY 37 and our dog had ran into the road getting hit to avoid the lady. He had only wanted to find the owner and notify us of the incident and return the collar. He expressed how sorry he was, I thanked him and we went our ways. However, little did I know that later on this Deputy would go out of his way to make contact with me again and take the time to get to know me. Fast forward years later and although a dog was lost, we found each other.
