Gunner and a Emily first met in 2010 when he went to work for her family’s exhibit at the local county fair. After connecting and talking about getting together for a few years, God’s timing led to them beginning to date in 2016 when they were both students at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Gunner graduated in 2017 and their relationship got put to the test through 3 years of long distance dating but through the highs and lows they found out a lot about faith and each other. Emily graduated in 2020, but the two of them wouldn’t change any aspect of their relationship to this point because to them, it helped build something really special.

Gunner proposed to Emily on March 27th, 2021 on a farm that her dad used to have, a place that is very sentimental to her and meaningful to her life. Getting her there without her suspecting was quite the task, and the rain didn’t help any, but she said “Yes” (or actually, “Is this a joke?”) and they were able to go back and celebrate with their closest friends and family.

Gunner and Emily are excited to see what the future holds and cannot wait to become one on April 9, 2022!
