nearby towns

Salem is home to all things witches and maritime. Take a stroll downtown to see many historic homes and locations such as The Burying Point and The Witch House at Salem. Other options include the Peabody Essex Museum or Salem Maritime Museum.

Take a short drive North on route 128 up the coast to beautiful Rockport. Walk around the shops at Bearskin Neck for some local fare, or visit Halibut Point State Park (you can see Maine from there!).

Heading South about 30 minutes, you'll find Boston. With so many fun and interesting things to do - take a self-guided walk along the Freedom Trail which hits all the hot spots, stroll Newbury street for shopping, or head to any number of museums. The Commuter Rail leaves from both Beverly and Salem and would be the easiest way in and out of the city - no headache trying to find parking!
