Jon and Emily met as the world was closed down in 2020. They met at the beach; Emily joked about jumping off the rocks into the water, and Jon had a special rock in his pocket because he knew she loved them. Most of their early time together was spent in the kitchen, outside, or playing games. They quickly not only fell in love, but became best friends. They returned to that same spot they met, on her birthday in 2024, where Jon asked her to be his wife.
